Rotary Valves

Meyer rotary airlock valves are used in a wide range of applications where there is a need to minimize system air losses while transferring material between vessels with differing pressures. They are used as feeder valves to meter the flow of material between vessels with equivalent pressures. You’ll also find them doing double duty in systems where there is a need to minimize system air or gas losses while regulating the flow of material between vessels with differing pressures.

Modern conveying systems require reliable and economical rotary valves. Pelletron developed new energy saving rotary valves including a special device to avoid the cutting of granular products. Valves are designed in stainless steel or with an aluminum, hard-coated housing and stainless steel rotor. For special applications, Pelletron provides quick clean rotary valves, powder valves and blow-through valves. Polished valves and valves with v-shaped rotors, shallow rotors and other special designs are also available.
